What's actually coming

Which Macs can run it

The dividing line is simple: Apple Silicon (M-series) Macs are in; Intel Macs are out. Apple Intelligence relies on the Neural Engine built into M-series chips to run models on-device, privately and quickly — something Intel Macs don't have. So a MacBook Air (M3 or M4) or a MacBook Pro (M4 Pro and up) is ready today, while even a powerful Intel MacBook Pro won't get these features.
