iPad Mini (A17 Pro): Pro Chip. Mini Size.

The iPad mini 7 (A17 Pro, 2024) puts the A17 Pro chip and 8GB of RAM behind a sharp 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, with full Apple Intelligence support and Apple Pencil Pro compatibility. Choose 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB, Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + 5G Cellular, in Space Gray, Starlight, Purple, or Blue. Every unit is Strictli Certified and available in Open Box, Used, and Clearance condition.

At a Glance: Why Choose the iPad Mini (A17 Pro)?

  • A17 Pro Chip with 8GB RAM: 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing, and a 16-core Neural Engine. That is double the memory of the iPad mini 6, with plenty of headroom for pro apps, multitasking, and high-end games.
  • Apple Intelligence Ready: Supports Apple Intelligence features like Writing Tools, Clean Up in Photos, and Genmoji.
  • Apple Pencil Pro Support: Works with Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C). Apple Pencil Pro pairs and charges magnetically on the side.
  • 8.3-Inch Liquid Retina Display: 2266 x 1488 resolution at 326 ppi, 500 nits, P3 wide color, and True Tone, fully laminated with an antireflective coating.
  • Fast USB-C and Wi-Fi 6E: USB 3 transfer speeds up to 10Gb/s, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and optional 5G cellular.

Big Performance, One-Hand Size

At 6.3 mm thin and under 300 grams, the iPad mini (A17 Pro) slips into a small bag and sits comfortably in one hand. It is a popular choice for pilots running electronic flight bag apps, for field and medical work, and for reading and note-taking on the go. Touch ID in the top button keeps unlocking, app sign-ins, and Apple Pay quick and secure.

Made for Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Intelligence

Pair it with Apple Pencil Pro and the iPad mini becomes a pocket sketchbook and notepad, with squeeze to bring up tool palettes, barrel roll for precise shading, and haptic feedback. The A17 Pro and 8GB of memory also make it ready for Apple Intelligence, so features like Writing Tools and Clean Up in Photos are built right in.

Wi-Fi or 5G Cellular: Which One Is Right for You?

Wi-Fi models (A2993) connect over Wi-Fi 6E and are a great fit for home, school, and office use. Wi-Fi + Cellular models (A2995) add 5G, Gigabit LTE, and built-in GPS, so you can get online and navigate anywhere your carrier has service. Cellular models are eSIM only, so there is no physical SIM tray. You set up your plan with your carrier through eSIM.

Good to Know Before You Buy

Is this the iPad mini 7? Yes. Apple officially calls it iPad mini (A17 Pro), released in October 2024. Most people call it the iPad mini 7 or iPad mini 7th generation.

Does it work with Apple Pencil 2? No. It supports Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C) only. Apple Pencil (2nd generation) and Apple Pencil (1st generation) are not compatible.

How do I tell it apart from the iPad mini 6? They look nearly identical. Go to Settings > General > About and tap Model Number: A2993 or A2995 means it is the A17 Pro model. The iPad mini 6 is A2567, A2568, or A2569. The A17 Pro model also comes in Blue and starts at 128GB instead of 64GB.
